Hydraulic Hose Farmall Super H

I am having trouble finding a replacement hose for my Farmall Super H. The short hose which screws into the pump is what I am after. It's about 8" long and with I think 1" fittings. I went to a local hose shop and got laughed at saying to go back to International for the part. Not even finding a part#. Can anyone out there help?

Dealer still sells them. Over $100,maybe $150, not exactly like the original. Fittings are a little longer and hose shorter. Makes it stiffer than the original ones. Price, I think thats the reason you see a lot of them missing the steel line and with a rubber hose with 3/4 pipe threads from the pump manifold to the reservoir. If you need a part # and current price post back.
 
You must not have a very good hose shop. Our local NAPA store will custom make any hose imagineable and press ends on it to fit anything.

I second GeneMO. I needed a new hose for a loader- took the old one in, they took it back and made a new one "from scratch", were done in a couple of minutes. They said they don't bother with stocking made-up hoses or part numbers any more- easier to just make it on the spot. And the price was in line with the made up hoses (in one foot increments in length) at the farm store.

Find a real hydraulic place.

It seems to be a bit less cost if I replace the steel line and just go with one piece of hose with 3/4" fittings on each end. Not to worried about keeping it original. As long as it works and doesn't leak.
 
Steel line has a tapered ferrule on the end and a fine thread on the od of the retaining nut. Female end of the hose is special to fit. Somebody may have the end but most shops say they never saw anything like that.
 
I'm not sure if you've had any luck in getting the hose you need made, but the website www.HoseExchange.com is a great way to have replacement hoses made without the hassle. I work at Murdock Industrial who is the company that offers this service. Thanks!
