Wife and I got married 40 years ago today. Had dinner at the Iowa Machine Shed in Davenport, Ia. with our 2 daughters and their families and her brother and sister in law. Played cards with her brother and his wife the rest of the afternoon. I got more done on our wedding day than I did today. Oh, well, there is always tomorrow. Chris

When Marilyn's family had a 40th for her parents it seemed like they had been married a long, long time. Now Marilyn and I will be married for 40 next August and it doesn't seem that long.Jim

Yes I kinda forgot! My wife turned 18 on the 30th and on the 31th we got married, I was 20. That was in 66. Well I remembered her birthday. But next day I completely forgot till I overheard her on the phone to her sister. About 9 am. but the damage was done. She says she has forgiven me, but tells everyone just the same. Vic

congrats, hope you two have many more.i'm almost to 39 myself. have never missed a one so far.had the good fortune of getting married on a holiday, they always talk about it for a few days. groundhog day.

Interesting way to spend your wedding day, but who am I to say? I got married in a back room of the Jefferson County Courthouse in Birmingham, AL about 20 years ago. After spending our wedding night at her place, we spent the next day driving me to Norfolk, VA to meet my destroyer so I could get underway for six months, so I'm not the best person to tell someone how to spend a romantic honeymoon.

My wife and I are screaming up on 25 in a couple of weeks.

When we visit family back in that neck of the woods we almost always end up at the Machine Shed as well.
