Dalet,
No, but I had the same thought. Perhaps he had already been there to buy the zip ties.

I just got the shot off when the light turned green. One of those lucky Kodak moments.

I just did that on Friday........ exhaust is suspended by rubber donuts and I high centered while checking the horses. Was dark and I couldn't find the donuts (and didn't want to crawl under the car anyway).. All I had was zip ties. Zipped it up and made it to the shop.....

Dave,
You don't think you just put a target on your butt telling people you use zip ties to hold your muffler on:) ? I'm not coming to your defense.

Zip ties are handy when working alone on some installation projects that need a third or 4th hand to hold something. Should have probably clipped it if that was the case when done. Could have used duct tape;>)

Sure wouldn't hold against the heat of modern diesel PU, during the cleaning/regen cycle!

BIL and neighbor hate those things. They make strange noises going down the road that can be aggrivating to find. Little thumps and bumps, scratching noises, and all kinds of neat growls depending on where they are attached. All I do is figure out where they will be the most aggrivating next.....

Evidence of a prior prank. We usedta take a "magnum", fill with talcum powder, ziptie to exhaust pipe, and watch the head scratchin fun, as the explosion and ball of white smoke spreads out behind the car, upon starting!

Not sure it was a prank. Look closely, doesn't the white zip tie look like it's holding the muffler in place? At least that's what I saw when I shot the pic.
