O/T Burris AR-332/536

I do own some old tractors and like most of the info from the folks on this site so I have another OT question I'm going to post.

Has anybody used a Burris AR- 332 or 536 prism scope on their AR-15?

Also I like the idea of the compact design but how does a "prism scope" differ from a regular long tube scope as seen on regular rifles?

Is that the kind that take little batteries? For a target hobby, OK, but in Afganistan? I wouldn't want my life depending on a wristwatch battery....
 
No, the battery only illuminates the reticle to either green or red with adjustable brightness, it shows up black like a regular scope reticle if the battery is dead or its just off.

Magnification is not digital.

I would agree that this is not what I would want in Afghanistan but I am in Ky. Thanks for your opinion
