So far, so good---

Kind of like the guy that jumped off the 13 story building. All the windows were open, and they heard him saying as he passed each floor, "So far, so good...".

The cows are fed, and it's windy and wet out. I just dumped four inches of water out of the rain guage, and the winds are strong and gusting. They asre like 30-40 mph, and gusts are very strong, on the order of about 60 mph. The electric has flashed a few times, and one of the kids about eight miles from us just had their transformer blow up. But, like I said, so far so good.....

Gonna go kick my feet up.

I am in DC for some training for work. getting a little windy and wet here. Glad those things dont hit in the central part of IL. The folks in charge sent us back to the hotel about 10 this morning. Sitting it out in the hotel.

Just got the horses in, it's gotten pretty windy here in eastern NY. Just a little rain. I'm gonna finish up chores than head home, do my own chores and than kick my feet up, unless we lose power.!

Hey Don,

Please don't have any emergencies tonight. Already had to deal with one down cow in the middle of a pasture this morning!

Same here by Cape Cod. Chickens are in the coop. Just went for a ride out by the water and it's starting to flood at low tide. The wind is picking up finally here and we had one tree come down but no damage. Glad everyone is staying safe.

Lights flickered a few times but never went out some parts of town without power, scanner on lots of tress down here in Falmouth, otherwise seems not so bad for a lot of hype. ( power could goes out as i hit send)

Here in Central NY it's light rain and the wind is picking up. The county decided to close the roads at 9pm tonight until 9am tomorrow. What a joke,

Very vey windy here with driving rain at 8 p.m. Been on generator since about five p.m., neighbors tree went down, took out power line from transformer to us. We can run our home, son's home, and carb shop with both 2kw gensets using the paralleling kit, except for the 240v air compressor. We're about 30 miles north of Port Jervis, and about 30 miles west of Poughkeepsie in southeast N.Y. Wish the World Series baseball was still going tonight!

They obviously want people to see things in daylight hours,a greater field of vision. like fallen live power lines for starters.
Under the reigning circumstances, I think it is a sensible decision.Their duty is to protect the people.
I hear,in some areas, they have imposed curfews.

Today was cloudy. windy with a few sprinkles. Last Thursday the temp. hit almost 80, today we had a wind chill of 35! That's a bit difficult to adjust to. Watched the national news at 6:30 tonight and it looked like a lot of places north of NC were already taking a pounding and the worst is yet to come.
