Feel kinda guilty..sitting here in a nice 58 degree day. Praying for all our friends up the eastern saeboard. National news dosen,t look too good for our friends up that way. Local power co/op is already readying crews to go north.

The local news is reporting that a lot of additional linemen are already staging in CT.ready to go.I think they are trying to get 2,000 in total.If the weather men are correct this is gonna be a ugly event especially for the shoreline with a massive storm surge.

It's been ugly since yesterday morning here in SE Virginia, with far more on the way-- my heart goes out to you folks North of us in Delmarva,Del,NJ,NY. This is one ugly storm. I thank all of our tractor friends for their concerns- but please pray for those North of us ! BamaDee

A friend was going west on the PA turnpike yesterday. Counted over 100 bucket trucks headed east.

We are right smack in the middle of the projected path of sandy. We are what we consider inland along ways about a 4-5 hour drive to the ocean but with a storm like this were just a hop skip and jump away. So we spent the day preparing for it hauled horses home from there summer pasture fastened things down plus stocked up on gas and groceries. Just hoping we don"t get flooded like we did sept"11

Right in the bullseye. 6-12 " of rain predicted, 50-80 mph winds. Ought to be another fun storm. Told SWMBO to bent over and .....

Saturday, I saw at least 20 tree trimming turcks, that contract to cut trees for our power company, east bound on I-70. A few trucks belonging to a Rural electric company east bound too.

No, Terre Haute, In. The tree trimmers had their flashing lights on and the peddle to the metal. East bound.
