Finally done for the year.Raked,baled,and stacked the last of it this afternoon.Now it can rain...Next stop...Corn Harvest!!

Some is pretty good.Moisture is running 21 to 26%.I
figure it will be 30 days yet.

Guess I always thought corn drydown was a function of age of the stalk, maybe slowed down by excess rain. But you're in Colorado- have you had a lot of rain? Why does your corn take so much longer to dry down than that in Iowa or Illinois, where I think they have been done for weeks?

Obviously not much field corn in western Washington (none, actually)- so I'm just trying to learn something.

We're pretty dry here.Maybe it is because we're cooler,maybe altitude...I really dont know.
