JD company is still losing it marbles!!!!

I was talking to a close friend that still sells for a JD dealer. HE told me that JD sold the manufacturing rights to the JD 640 and JD 740 loaders. KOYKER bought them. So I went and looked at Koyker's web site. Sure enough they have them right there. Even advertising that the parts will interchange with the JD ones. All I could see that was different was the buckets did not have the smooth rounded back in them.

So if you want a USA made loader to fit a large number of JD tractors go to Koyker. If you want a Mexican built loader with a poor paint job and questionable welds then go to your favorite JD dealer.

These two models of loaders where the most popular ones JD built in the last twenty years. They lasted very well and would fit a lot of different models of tractors.

Maybe I need to get a Koyker dealership????

Patent protection only lasts 20 years. I would have waited one more year and paid JD nothing.

Actually those loaders have been on the market 20 years. I would think the patent would have been earlier than market release. Koyker might have bought something that was already free.

KOYKERseller...... Kinda catchy huh????????????

Wake up on the wrong side of the bed again??? Hard to believe you's badmouthing your beloved mother deere..

They'll get back at em tho... They'll just raise their already inflated prices on parts that go to the koyker stuff and just change the label on the box. Bubba'll believe it..

I guess they bought the rights just to say it was/is a JD loader they're building.Deere quality is down as of late on some of their products, knew it was coming to everything when they started selling their L&G equipment at box stores along side MTD

Our local JD store was 'sold'(hostile takeover) last year to a mega group. They are a bunch of a$$holes. Now they are closeing our store and moveing it to the next town.We are starting to see a lot fewer new green tractors and a lot of other colors are showing up here.Even diehard green guys are switching.

I thought it was just me noticing that. I had to haul a cow two weeks ago to a stockyard I only go to three or four times a year anymore. (used to haul there a lot) They're in the heart of Deereland, near one of the superstores. I saw a lot of Deere combines in the fields, but all I was seeing on the wagons and grain carts were new CaseIH and New Holland tractors. I know it's farther to those dealers, but they're just that, dealers, not superstores. I guess even the diehards around there are finally getting as tired of it as I got. That particular superstore is the one where the parts manager told me to just keep doing what I'd been doing because he was too busy to order the part I needed. That day was THE END for the relationship between me and mother deere.

We had the same experience here. The local dealer sold out to a much larger outfit. Service? What service?

I talked with one of the old timers who told me that JD was trying very hard to drive out the smaller local dealers in lieu of much larger (mega?) dealers.

Customer service is a thing of the past with JD dealers. :-(

That must be why their market share continues to go up. ;) You don't see much of anything new that ISN'T green in this area.

The consolidation movement is not always bad news- local ag banker quit the bank and bought the local JD store about 20 years ago, and is up to 8 stores now- and I've never heard a bad word about him. Great customer service, excellent to deal with.

I miss the one location dealer from years ago but the prices they would have to charge to meet the payroll and make it worthwhile for them to operate would be too much for most customers to bear today. The local Deere multi-location dealer has done by far the best job to service me as a small customer. I don't hear anything in regards that I am inferior to the local BTO and need to sell out to him immediately. The red and blue outfits are a little too cozy to the local BTO's for my liking but I have not written them off yet.

I fast scanned through this article and it is pure BS to me. Koyker is made in S. Dakota as I remember. I had one and it gave me flawless performance for a reasonable price. When I sold the JD 4020 that I had it mounted on it went with it.

So get your facts straight and suck it up. Does JD make the tires on it's combines?????? Well do they??????

Nuf said if you are smart enough to get the drift.

(quoted from post at 22:03:27 10/23/12) budweiser beer isn't having any problems either. i'm sure it's because of the quality of their product.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

Good one!!!

Wow....TWO morons in one trap!

BTW, Bud's doing good because they're a well run company with a very popular, very consistent product. Just like Deere in that regard.

You aughtta put your IQ after your user name like Dave did....

don't start none and there won't be none..... Good comparison on the products tho...... Neither one are worth all the hype the marketers and bubba make em out to be.....
Budweiser'll get you drunk and JD'll farm for you but both at overinflated prices...... I came up with that all by myself with my little IQ of 2.. Now go set on an engraver or sumpin and stimulate that sweet personality you have....

you're so clever with your traps (huh? what trap?) and IQ jokes. let me play too... you should put the word "judgement" after your name.
in reference to your stance on welfare, which mouth do you drink your bud with?
