Not sure where you are located but I was headed home from Bradford Co., Pa yesterday and passed many custom classic cars on the road. There must have been a big show somewhere.

Larry,
Tell your wife she did a great job. Really cool pics!

I took some this summer when my husband and I were road tripping too. Isn't it amazing what a digital camera will capture even when you are crusing down the highway at 60+mph?!

I had one of those 1957 Chevy's. I put a 283cid
in my 1969 Chevy truck. Took out the 6 banger. Hal

Wife had a '57 Chevy 2 door when we got married. A year later we traded it on a new '66 Chevelle with a 327-325h.p. Wish I had 'em both back!

What make and year was the car with the suicide doors? My dads brother had a car with those front opening doors when I was a kid. Think it was about a 34 or 35 Ford, but it was also a sedan. They were definately not one of Fords better ideas. Joe

Based on what I can see, it can be a 33, it can be a 34. Essentially the same. Looks like it probably has a 32 radiator shell/grill. Not a 35.

When I was a kid folks had a 34 or 36 Pontiac and it had sucide doors. Never heard the folks call them that.

Funny they couldn't give those 57 Chevies away back the because of Tom McCahill he said it had a catfish mouth for a grill and meat cleavers for fenders. Then cam the beautiful 58.
Walt

The vehicle with the "suicide doors" is likely an actual 32 Ford three window coupe. That is the ONLY model that Ford produced in 1932 with front opening doors. 33 & 34s all had front opening doors, but the roof line seems to be a little different on the 33 three window.
