Wondering if any one can answer a question about the
ports on a 1466 auxiliary valve. There are 2 in the
center and one in the rear. The book sucks on
explaining flow in this circuit. My guess is that
the rear port has flow only for return oil when
valve is activated. Any one fluent on the operation
of these valves? Any input here will be greatly
appreciated.

You are correct that the rear single port is for return oil from load when valve is in raise or lowering position.
