Other than buying a $70 gallon of aircraft stripper...what is available,or what can you make to remove the plastic coating on aluminum wheels? I was thinking a good paint stripper might work..any ideas appreciated..

| I know a guy that buys a lot of old rims, removes the clear coat with paint remover. Just put the wheel in a pan and add remover, and check it the next day. I believe he uses an end from an old truck fuel tank as a pan.
