Tractor interest vs Hunting - Fishing- NASCAR

Whats your opinion? On 10-20-12 at 13-19-07 I posted an opinion about why Oliverguy had trouble finding someone to sweep for him. I was really looking for everybodys opinion but failed to make that clear in the subject box. So what do you think? Thanks

I love hunting. Have all my life. Film most of my hunts. I live for the 4 months of hunting. The other 8 are dedicated to tractors. Fishing is up there and I love to fish a lot. I use to be a dedicated NASCAR fan but I hate sitting around for 4 hours watching a race when I could be fishing, or working on a tractor so I don't follow it as close.

Well, I like racing, BUT, tractoring, fishing, hunting are participation activities, would rather be doing something fun than watching!!

I used to follow nascar till they put it on pay channels.Now i can only see a few races a year when they show them on fox.

The only end-of-year race winner will be wearing the Chevy badge. NASCAR won't let any other badge win. Dodge finally realized it and is pulling out of NASCAR. Maybe Ford will realize it and pull out also.

NASCAR use to stand for stock cars but now the only stock part is the driver an I wouldn't bet on that.

Remember the Dodge Chalanger with the big wing that changed NASCAR for ever since nothing could touch it on the track.

I thought the Dodge with the big wing was the Daytona. Plymouth had their counterpart, the Superbird.

Still remember the Superbird in the restaurant parking lot in about 1976- For Sale, $1,800. SWMBO would have killed me if I'd bought it. That's my excuse, and I'm stickin' to it.

Yes, back in the mid-70s after the fuel shortages hit, you could get 60s muscle cars for $1,500 to $2,500, depending on the condition. GTOs, hemi's, 427s, 6-packs, Stage 1's, Mercs, 442's, etc. Owners got rid of them for Pintos, Vegas, Gremlins that had better mileage.

Hobbies and interests are changing. Years ago boys were raised in the country with Fathers who took them hunting and fishing.
Now the bulk of the population is urban raised, many by single Mothers and a few Step Dads.
Video games , computers , big screen TV and bars is entertainment now.
