Roger again. My throttle and RPM's fluctuate up and down. Is this a governor problem or something else. I re-built the carb and the engine starts great.

The Massey Harris Ferguson forum will have someone who will know what's up with that, maybe not for a few hours or a couple days, but you can search the archives on that subject till then too. Help's to tell the guys the serial number too, but I think all MF50 gassers were Cont.Z145's, we'll see.

Could be the governor, could be a vacuum leak has it surging and wandering, you have to figure out if the governor moves before the engine RPMs change (causing the rpm CHANGE) or after/in response to the engine rpms changing (trying to keep the RPMs steady).
