Why was the 641tractor painted red in 1957? On the'57 models the word ford is embossed on the front fenders & on the '58 models it is not ,why?

I think the 601 series came out in late 57. And they would have used up stock till the new tin came in.
Front fenders? You must mean the hood sides.
Embossed script in the hood ended with the 600s.
The rear fenders always had the embossed Ford script from 48 or so till early 65 though they did change fenders between the Ns and 600s and again at the 601s.

Red color scheme indicates the 01 series (601, 641, etc), just new and exciting marketing hype.
