JD Seller has a great story a page back. I had my wife read it as well. How do you want to be remembered when you are gone? For me, I hope I can be remembered as a good son, husband and father. I hope people remember me as a honest hard working guy who always made people laugh.

You're right---that post by JDSellers exemplifies what is great and wonderful and special about this forum. I have come to admire and even envy his broad wisdom, knowledge and insight, along with his character and integrity. Yes, you can pick up on all that just by reading what someone posts here.

I just read it to Marilyn and it got me again. Now I'm sniffling. What a wonderful tribute. We don't hear stories like that more than a few times during our lifetime. Jim

I read that story this morning and it made me cry. I know big boys aren't supposed to do that. I read it to my wife and cried again. Those two people touched that woman's life when she needed it most. She rewarded them well with a tribute to their giving attitude. Lots of lessons to be learned here.

I don't care what anyone says, REAL men DO cry now and then, and aren't ashamed of it either!

Hoofer B,
I agree with you about JD Sellers posting. The guy to me has more integrity, sincerity, compassion, and a heart of gold than most people. I don't know JD Seller, but would really like to meet him in person. He sure puts things in perspective that really make sense. I am about the age of his oldest son. I just wished my dad was a fraction of what this man is. And what you say about about yourself is exactly how I would like to be remembered also. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hope I didn't steal your posting. That is not what I meant to do.

Look how that small gesture of kindness ( and lifelong friendship ) they did so many years ago impacted this ladies life. Funny how too many people now days want to just take advantage of everyone else, ridicule them, and try to outdo them( not to mention kriticize them if they spell a word wrong ).
