killed the coyote problem, but how many folks has had dogs getting their calves?seems like around here were just the right distance away from town for folks when times get hard to dump their dogs out. I've lost track of how many ive had to shoot or how many cows and calves they've killed over the years.probably be particularly bad this time since the farm bill expired and folks find out their not getting their food stamps next month. it always seemed odd to me that around these parts the poorer a person is,or the less money they make ,the more dogs they have.just never did make sense to me. listned to a talk put on by the homeless alliance last week.they had to build a kennel and have regular vet visits for all the dogs homeless people dragged around with them. strange thing. |

| | Yep, my Grandpa (born in 1894) had a saying. "You could tell how poor a family was by the number of dogs they had." |

| Even tho the farm bill expired, they still get their food stamps. I believe they keep the current on going or it reverts back to a basic plan years back, but obama will make sure that his voting base still gets their monthly free money. |

Yup, been telling folks for years that public assistance equals buying votes. IMO folks that are on assistance should A. sign a wiaver when they sign up that bars them from voting or B. public assistance should be ended as an illegal means of buying votes. Because I don't want to see people starving in the streets I'd go with plan A.

| | My Mom told the story about the county sheriff that was a friend of her Dad. He would often drive to the farm and get her Dad to go with him in the buggy to find an individual to serve legal papers on. When her Dad asked the sheriff how he found the right place if he wasn't along with him. The sheriff replied: "I just drive around until I see the place with the most dogs - and that's usually the right place." |
