corn harvest done lol!!

Just finished ear picking 9 acres of corn,We got 3 1/2 wagon loads. Thats about approx 220bu.o r 24 bpa LOL!!! No rain and chemicals that didnt work really took its toll this year.One neighbor said he shelled a 105 acre farm and got about 650 bu. Guess Im not so bad after all! LOL Doug

We have a large valley near here with a river . The farmland in surrounding will produce great crops even this year . A freind of mine bought 50 acres of it and keeps winning big.

We just finished combining 45 acres and averaged about 125 bushels to the acre. Which is way better then we thought we would get. By the looks of the corn we thought it would be much worse.I guess you never know.

Finished picking and grinding on Sunday. 77 loads off 38 acres which I think is average for this area of ny. Cant really believe it was nervous when there was no rain here for almost 7 weeks but planted a lot of sod and the rain came just in time. Hate to hear news like that from other.
