Hey guys!!

So, Im glad the binder video yesterday was a hit, heres the next video I shot at the show!! I still have a few more to post...

Anyway, this video is of a McCormick husker/shredder that is estimated to be, right around 100 years old. The guys at the show found it in a barn, bought it for next to nothing, put new belts on it, "and it worked". lol.

So, now its one of the main attractions at the show, and its a beast for sure. Still has original paint, original metal, original wheels, etc. It shakes the ground around it, especially with the help of the straight-piped Rock Island tractor running it.

I also got a few shots of down inside the machine as it was working, its all in the video.

All I can say, is that this was one of the most fun videos I've gotten to make since I started my channel so I hope you guys enjoy it, and also, if you've ever wondered why farmers back in the day were walking around with missing body parts and had a life expectancy of like 50, well, machines like this are why. lol.

Would they have fed it faster back then, instead of one or two at a time?

I've been home sick, common cold but on the worse end of the spectrum of how they get, good timing to post, I enjoyed watching that first one, I've seen these things in deplorable condition in fence rows and parked idle in wooded areas that were once fields, great to see one working !

Lanse, you are young and healthy, make sure and wear hearing and eye protection while you can still hear and see.

It is too late for some of my hearing.

Lanse,

All we need now is a video of the guy who's making these videos. We've followed you for several years, through your adventures and misadventures and trials and tribulations. It seems like you're doing fine these days.

Keep up the good work!

Stan

Great video Lance!! So glad people like you take the time to video these events and share them with all of us.
I"m wondering Lance, what kind of camera do you use. It makes great videos as does the guy holding it. Please share with us some facts about your camera. I"m looking to buy a good video camera and the one you use does a great job.

Thanks,
Dick

Excellent. Brings back memories of the neighbor's Rosenthal shredder. It did all the local shredding, powered by a Farmall M.

there is a shreder like that out in the woods.
I used a New Idea shreder in 1958.
