tractor data question

My guess is that the engine has specs and one is rpm where it makes the hp advertised. If the engine is in a tractor then the gpm would be at that max rated hp. I have diesels that are PTO rated at one rpm but the tractor is capable of running 20% above that. All it says is the gear ratio inside the PTO drive is setup to deliver 540 rpm at this drive rpm.

I think my Ford 4000D is PTO rated at 1600 but it's top rpm, factory setup, is 2100 and if I am running anything hydraulic there will be an appropriate gpm.

At rated engine speed, not standard pto speeds. They are very often different. Example, Farmall 806 diesel. High idle speed 2640, rated engine speed 2400, engine speed at standard pto speeds 2100 .
