And here is another game that goes to midnight. What a series. I don't really care who wins (like h@ll I don't), this will be a remembered year for Bmore fans. If the Birds can win tomorrow, it will be a wild ride well worth it. If they lose, well, they played a great team and had a good year. Both teams deserve credit for this season.

dojr-

Yup, what a series. This is some of the greatest baseball I've seen in my 69 years. I still want the Ynakees but if the "Birds" win, I'll be looking forward to an all "Bird" series-Orioles and Cardinals.

Great year for the Birds. We moved to Maryland the year after they did. I been a fan through the good, great and horrible years. Buck for manager of the year.

They are still playing baseball??? Who is playing??? I am not joking, I don't pay any attention to the stuff.

Quit watching after the strike twenty plus years ago. POed me watching men paid millions each year too lazy to run out a hit ball. Then the same guy claiming how a few million a year was an insult to them. So I just quit watching the game.

The teams should have to pay for their own stadiums. If the Yankees are worth a billion dollars why are the tax payers of New York on the hook for their ball park???

An observation I've made in my 63 years is that men who weren't very good athletes generally don't like to watch sports. To each their own.

Sometimes silly, sometimes boring. Sometimes a real duel like this series between two good teams. For those of us who have played and continue to watch the game, it is still a joy to see some good plays, and try to understand how often a matchup is made on the field to a particular player or pitcher. But even better, is when a bunch of low rents like the Birds take on a powerhouse, big buck team like New Yuk, and beat them at their own game. Almost like seeing a 9N outpull a D8.

Well then I too have a few sour grapes. I used to follow baseball until the strike. Now I couldn't even tell you sho's in contention for the series. Jim

As my old Grandma used to say: "Sour grapes don't make good wine."
