Under what circumstances do you select a given plate? Seed size of course, but why edge or flat? I have a third style of plate for my 1250 that consists of about 20 fingers, and I have no idea at all what that one's for. Thanks, fritz |

| | I have an old IH Richmond type plate planter and used edge drop plates for flat sweet corn seed. It seems to take an edge drop plate on flat seed so it only picks up 1 seed per cell. I use flat drop plates for round sweet corn seed, green beens and peas. I have multiple edge and flat drop plates and use the appropriate one depending on seed size. |
