Sometime today in NM, an extreme sports freak (read idiot) name of Bumgartner (SP??) will be skydiving from about 20 miles high.......... So, dick2 and other NMexiconians, watch out for falling nuts.......
(quoted from post at 06:07:59 10/09/12) You of all folks should know Dave (LOL), the German Military (Fallschirmjaeger and Special Forces)are doing the same. Also American are experimenting with it. Special suits with integrated oxygen supply and delivery, etc......
Idea is to stay above enemy fire and be able to glide for miles and miles (up to 35 km)without being detected, radar and otherwise....!
Your German Okie Ralph.
BTW: Looks like I will be "home" in May next year...still up for some beer???
(quoted from post at 10:52:31 10/09/12) If this is the same tool I read about last week... the goal is to break the sound barrier. I can't imagine the wiplash he's going to have when the shute opens... if it can stop him.
