Im gonna change the oil on my new to me 4010. What is a good oil weight to use in it? I use the tractor year around and only change the oil once a year. Advice appreciated. |

| Used to run straight 30W in 4020D, just like owners manual said. But in the last 10 years or so, oil companies have fixed all the problems with multi-viscosity oils, so we run 15W-40 in all our diesel engines.
For a gasser, I'd go with the 10W-40 |

| We use 15X40 in everything (even the lawnmower), except newer stuff that takes 5W X 30. (can't bring myself to use 5 X 20) Also get the older formulation of 15 X 40, not the one for the 07 or newer diesels. |

| Winter is coming up, would use 10W-30 if it is setting out, or 15W-40 year round if not. |

| We use 15W-40 in 4020 year round and it sits out, just put a heater on it night before when using it. |
