And other`s also! Found them in the garden first, they Love swiss chard! Then tracked them to the cows pasture THEN, a few in the hayfield.
Hogleg comes to mind as a close neighbor(salem area). Just trying to give a heads up!!!.....GAS

You got that right. Had them once here in Dallas. Amazing how much they can eat in one day.

I was told that spraying malathion was the only way to kill them. We didn"t have any spray eqmt then. Used some "standard" insecticide granules in the fertilizer spreader. It was very effective & killed them off.

Don"t take them lightly, prepare and protect your fields.

Are Army worms the same as what we called a web worms? In the late 50's we found them in a 60 acre milo field.
They had eat 5 acres. They came out that day and sprayed with a plane. Next day they were still going and eat another 20 acres. Spray Co.had put in the wrong spray. They came out again. The pilot landed on the road, and the worms were climbing up his tires. He didn't stay there long.

They have wrecked a few late pastures one county north of me be have not seen any here.
