when i was young i remember my family going to mineral beach.i think it was around brownsville,pa.im pretty sure it was a show of steam engines put on by willis able,he had a 110 hp case.does anyone know if anything is still going on there,or whatever happened to all the steam engines that were shown there...

It was actually close to Library, PA. Willis had an awesome steam engine show every September as you probably know, probably at least 50 engines would be on exhibit. I don't know if people fully appreciated it until it ended around 10 years ago. This came on the heels of the steam engine(s) that exploded at the Medina county fair in Medina, OH. I think the liability issues may have become too great to continue to have the show. I know many of the engines belonged to Able himself, and many other exhibitors would come as well. As to what became of Wilis' collection, I don't know.

There is a Willis family that has a big steam show just west of Brownsville every Aug -about the second Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun of the month. Also a smaller spring show late May.

I think you will find that some of Willis Able's steam engines are now at Ken Eder's Ederville in Carthage NC.
This includes the Best 110 steam engine (now completed and running)that was not complete 10 or more years ago when I was at Mineral Beach.
