Interesting sight

Yesterday I saw something that amused me. A farmer about 5 miles south of me still puts cob corn up and is picking corn right now. He had a fairly new CaseIH with a loader sitting there (couldn't see the model number because of the loader). A Oliver, older rounded hood one, hooked to an elevator and was just pulling up with a gravity box behind what looked to be a D17 AC. Couldn't see the tractor with the picker from the road but thought it was kind neat to see someone farming with such a spectrum of tractors!

I'll try to get back down that way and gets pics later today.

Corn got too dry to pick on the ear here, or you mighta been looking at me? :)

Fords, IHC's, Oliver. Never had a JD tractor, used to run a 45 combine tho and of course love the JD planter.....

Back when I was young in the 70's we did much the same. An IH 666 gas, Oliver 500, JD A, & a JD 60. I remember picking corn with a NI 324 picker, & combining with AC 66 combine, & hauling to the NI double chain elevator. Standing in the hay loft, & watching the corn come up the elevator, falling in the crib way down below. I can still picture it today!
