806 Injector pump timing

Rebuilt the pump and reinstalled on tractor. Before the pump was pretty much straight up & down but the rebuilt pump had to roll the pump to its right to get tractor to start. The bottom of the pump is up against the engine block and cannot roll any more. Is my timing off by one or two teeth? Is there anything I can do to get the pump like it was before?

Well DAHHHHH . YEA ya are . When you pulled the pump off didn't ya line up timing marks on the flywheel and the pump BEFORE you just yanked it off ?????? were you SURE that you had it at TDC or were you 180 out. Then it would help to know just what pump you have on your tractor , is it the Rossa Master ???? or is it the RD pump ??? as they do NOT set the same .

Timing marks were lined up on the right side of pump. I don’t recall checking the flywheel. It’s a Rossa Master pump. When I got it back from rebuild the timing were lined up on left side of pump so I rotated 180. With the timing marks lined up the flywheel was at 6 BTDC with # 1 cylinder at TDC. To get the 6BTDC pump had to be rolled to the right as far as possible.
