what year did 8n tractors come out with side mounted distibutors

The first side mount distributor Ford 8N came out some time around May of 1950 give or take a month or so

In 1950, at serial number 263844, a new engine block was installed which repositioned the disributor to the right side with a seperate coil and the new generator N10001 was mounted on the front left side of the engine. All that followed were configured in the same manner.
