630 PTO slipping.....

Hello to all; 1960 630. Well, I drained the fluid, and took the nut off the ajustment rod. It was almost even with the bolt. I found the brass screw, and turned it in. Then, turned the coller counterclock wise, while cking the adjustment rod. the book says .090. The rod never moved. As I look in, the brass screw is halfway OUT of the slot. Soooo, Am I right in thinking it's rebuilding time? Any tips, in doing this? Thanks Bobmn

It sounds like the plates are worn so thin that you are out of adjustment. I think you are correct that it is rebuild the PTO time.

JD Thank you! I have always valued your answers!! At this age (72) it is nice to have a little backup! Thanks again Bobmn
