Corn Shelling

I took these pictures after everything was shelled. My "36 D on the 71 sheller, 51 A on the clean grain wagon, and 49 G on the ear corn wagon. My "36 B was on the cob wagon but got cut off in the pictures. Ironically the "36 B and "36 D were both built on the same day! I bought them 11 years apart out of 2 different states. The "49 G was bought from the original owner off of the original farm.

I have Green, but mostly a Red man. That would be one hick of a photo if they all had new paint. Still great just as it is. Your JD dealer should hang that at his counter.

Never saw a JD sheller like that? _Everything_ around here was MM yellow. D, E, 1200, 1210, even saw one labeled a 'White' sheller but was of course a MM 1210 indifferent colors.

Seen a couple of tiny JD shellers designed to shovel corn into the throat, but never a style like the MM series.

tritown,
That is an excellent shot. Here you go, I just transported you back to 1955. I could have distressed it a little more, but I think you get the idea.

I have a 36 "D" Must be your twin. Have to go through the carb on mine as last I had it running about 3 years ago I had to have the choke fully closed to get it to run. I don't think it would start at all any more. Nice picture.

Great pic! Reminds me of the John Deere we used for tillage and pulling an wagon or a cart. Posted a pic of the tractor at John Deere Forum, this should be a pic of the wagon in the barn, repaired by my cousin i think.
