Fall is coming and winter not far behind. The weather watchers have been predicting some scatterd frost in some localized areas which we have had. I took this pic, last fall after light snow and hard freeze. I'm starting to look forward to the seasonal change, however it is still very lush and green green here at Clinton Camp Farm in Central NY. we've been very fortunate, after very dry spring threw end of July. Mother nature blessed us with timely rain showers, starting in Aug., and continuing to date. The corn is remaining very green, although ears have dropped, and are dry and husks are loose, like others have posted

Hay Bruce,
Uncle Kerm dug the chopper out of the shed yesterday to chop the sweet corn around the barn (brown corn in second pic.) Well today He decided to fill one of the Harder concrete silos??????. Last spring he and his bro. Myron decided that this was going to be the first year with no livestock on the farm, but 100+ head later,( boarders), this year. Two days ago Kerm bought another "Clinton Camp Majesty" offspring, (not cheap) with another farmer who will raise and document it. Life goes on and more power to both of them. I can't think of a better place to die than in the seat of a tractor.

Hay frozen nuts,
I bet frozen ground is softer than limestone or granite. LOL. You need a good burn barrel to warm your fingers when It's like that. HeHe, That's what Lyle would do plus cook his lunch. LOL.

I sold all that drilling stuff. Still have the burn barrel I built out of a 20 gal press. tank, Buyer from Texas didn"t think he need it. lol.

I bet that if your Uncle picked her , she is a good one .Sure would like to see a pic of that "Magesty" daugther. We had a few real nice ones, but traded all of our Holstiens off for PB Jerseys in 2004. Milk priced on componets will turn your head around, sometimes it's change or look for a new job. Still miss the look off black and white cows grazing on green pasture. Bruce
