Funny, I always think of WI as hilly... had a couple unlces that lived near La Crosse.

It's nice to see someone still using a 225 IH swather. I had one for 16 years till I bought a 1431 NH discbine. gave the old one to bil for parts machine he has five, two or three still running.

LaCrosse is nice and hilly. The glacers didnt grind it flat. Its called the driftless area. Here is a map of the driftless area of WI. http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/er/wlip/driftless.htm LaCrosse is right in the middle of it.

I did some work on the big muskego lake I think thats what it's called for ducks unlimited. I think they were going to pump it down and do some work in the lake for duck habitat.I dug a channel and installed an out flow area back into the creek so they could pump water out of the lake. I think I have some pics around here if I can find them. Are they done with the project? or is it still going on. Jim

Yes two years ago they dug a shallow pond to the to the west in that marsh,not sure what its purpose is.but from what I understand its not done yet.they get alot of cat tail bogs blocking that dam.that float in..

yup thats the one, Just wondering if they had used that pond that I dug. Yes there was at that time alot of bog that had floated up against the dam. jim

Steve, whereabouts in Muskego? I was born and raised there on a dairy farm across from Muskego High School, before we moved to Colorado in 1979. We have 40 acres here I do small bales grass and alfalfa for our horses.
