Wood splitting PIC's

Picked up this wood splitter at an auction sale last week, $60.00. Brother is a" townie"and had a maple tree on his lawn that had to go. So as he heats with gas, I was the lucky guy who got the wood for cleaning up the mess. Lots of limbs and knots and twists, but free, and the wood splitter don't care. Bruce

Bruce, Swell pictures. Looks like you got a bargain on the wood splitter. They (splitter) makes the work go easier and faster, not to mention aching arms and back lol. LOU

That was my thought too, get it up higher so you don't have to bend over so much, until you have really big pieces. $60! Good deal!

How'd you get that for $60. I saw a few splitters sell at sales before I bought one new and they were nothing near $60. More like $750. Look like it works good though, and I'm glad someone can find a good deal.

$60 good purchase, It all depends on the day, other days it could go for a bundle.

At Auction I managed a complete remote system for a Fordson Major at $20. Previously a wrecker had quoted $300.

I think he's asking if it's a telescopic cylinder with a 2 separate pistons like a hoist for a gravel truck. Looks like it is which would give the same effect as a 2 stage pump. Great buy for $60. It looks pretty well built.

I paid $125 for a 3pt Spliter had never been used. Hoses cost $130. so I would say ypu got a good deal.
