Does anyone know an aftermarket source for leather (or something else) cups for inside the lift cylinders on the loader on my H Farmall?
It's a #33A loader from approximately the 1960's. The #33 had a trip bucket, and the #33A, like mine, a hydraulic tilt bucket, but the lift cylinders should be the same. My H has had the hydraulics plumbed for the two lever control.
Last time I needed some, maybe 6 or 8 years ago, I went to our local Case-IH dealer. The scene started out with a young kid behind the parts counter claiming there was no way an H could have a #33A loader. An older fellow overheard the conversation, dug into a box of microfiche, and pulled it right up.
Friday, I went to the same dealer. Whole different crew behind the parts counter, and a fellow old enough to have gray hair swore he'd never heard of a #33 or #33A loader and wasn't sure if IH ever made one. End of conversation.
In Surplus Center's catalog, they have new cylinders for about $100 each that appear like they would replace mine, but why spend the money if I can find a source of the cups.
