I have a 84 chevy c20 4x4 and need a new steering column . I have several out of older trucks but I need one with the wipers on the turn switch . I have some s-10 4x4 blazers and they look the same but dont know , can anyone tell me if it would work and if the wire plugs are the same .Dont want to go to all the work to pull one if it wont work . Thanks

What year of S-10 is it? You can get a new AC Delco switch w/o cruise on Rock Auto for $38. Find the correct number for your truck and then look at the part number for you S10/Blazers.

I have several problems with it that is why I am just going to change the whole thing . I have 4 s-10s from early to late 80s .

Not sure about the '84, but with most of the GM vehicles of similar vintage, the turn signal stalk pops out of the switch, and the harness for cruise and wipers comes with the stalk, not with the steering column.

It would be remarkable if the steering column for an S-10 Blazer fits a C-20. But the turn signal stalks might very well interchange. If your main problem is the stalk, you might find they're not that outrageous to replace with new.

Have no experience with s-10s but think the problem would be length and bolt pattern at the bottom of the column.

If you know anyone who runs a junkyard, OOPS, a used parts recycling facility, they should have an interchange listing. Or a Chevy dealership, if they keep their books back that far.

I believe that there is a difference in some of the full size ones. I believe 84 to 87 are all the same. 1981-83 are different. The stick shifter columns are different from the auto trans columns. I need one for a 1985 K-10 with auto trans. Ones from the 70's are totally different.
