OT Dishwasher rack repair

Can anyone recommend something you've used to repair rusty places on a dishwasher rack that you've felt has held up well? Some places are quite bad and some are just little spots. Thanks.

If the rack has a plastic coating why not try the plastic dip that you can put on tools? Seems to work pretty good for wrenches.

I used white Liquid Electrical coating... Home Depot...It's been on a couple of months now...a couple of coats did it.

The appliance parts store have a liquid coating formulated specifically for that application that works very well. Just cover the rusted areas completely and let it dry.

They make plastic (vynal) tips that go over the vertical pegs.

Fingernail polish works well for covering, but as the album says,
"Rust Never Sleeps".

Used that stuff about 4 years ago on my rack and it is holding great and no rust has come through.

just to let everyone know I used a product called re-rack today that I got at Lowes. It's kinda difficult to paint on. There sure were a lot of bad spots when I got to fixing them I kept finding more. I spent a long time fixing it so I hope it works.
