My wife came to the field where the pup and I were shelling corn this evening and took some pics. The elevator's closed today so we knocked off early, did some chores, scouted some beans that look much better after about 2.3 inches of rain last week. Now he's sleeping at my feet while I'm eating supper.

Just remember those innocent dog eyes in the pictures. The same ones you will see when the TV remote has become his favortie chew toy.

My youngest dog is almost out of the chewing stage. Finally likes cow bones now.

You cannot beat having a good dog or two around the place.

Rick

I'm glad you enjoyed the pics Tom, my mother in law gets upset when my wife calls we baby...she says "he is not a baby, he is a very big man". Doesn't bother me, it's just how the Lord decided I should be.

Sorry Belgian, this is the first crop through the other red.

Thanks for the pics. The little guy should sleep well tonight!

Picture of the combine reminds me of the first time my city wife (now "countryfied") saw a corn head- "So, what's with the rockets on the front?"

I told her they were for blasting corn weevils and cob mites.

Erik,

Thanks for the pictures. My wife and I got a real kick out of them.

Without being too obnoxious, and with no sense whatsoever of insulting you, we both loved the fact that the pictures seem to indicate that you are a fairly big man. Driving some big equipment. Emptying grain into a big truck.

And your big heart is tender toward a little puppy. Now that's enough to make anyone smile and say, "thank you Lord, for a man with a good heart."
