Wondering about corn and bean harvesting. Are they ready in your area? What kind of yields are you running compared to a normal year? Here in central Wi.some corn silage is going in and the crop is way down.Maybe half in some areas.thanks

There's some corn around here that probably should have been chopped by now if it was going to be,but none of mine's ready yet. There's some dry beans that are dropping leaves, but the soys are good and green yet. There's some poor corn around, but a lot that looks like it's gonna be pretty close to average normal yield too.
Bottom line, only harvesting going on right now is hay.

I drive a semi for some local guys, hauled some irrigated corn in on Thursday, 28.5 moisture, yeild not that great. Yesterday, just down the road from me, one guy was picking corn, guy on the other side of the road had his pivot running on some beans. Saw another guy picking on a dryland half-section, so he is making two-mile rounds with an eight row head, and the auger wagon would just wait for him on the same end. Not a good sign.
