I have my 4th cutting mowed and raked. It is the best looking hay to date I have had. I started last year do hay and I had never done it before. Still learning as I go. My 3rd cutting was horrible but I fertilized it and this late summer rain really helped. Heck only a month ago it was 4 inches tall. |

| | No rain in my area for a long time, got an inch after thre ats was harvested so it pushed things a little, the oats blow-over sprouted even, but nothing growing, just dying around here. We got a corn crop, so not complaining, but the last 2 alfalfa crops looked real small amount of bales. I got a swamp I make grass hay off of, it's looking nice but short, could use a 1/2 inch or better rain to get things to add a few more inches of growth. Lose a lot it's so short yet, rake won't get it all. --->Paul |
