It worked!

I used the F8 key to get into "Safe" mode, then did a system restore to a week ago today. Then ran a Malware scan that showed no infected items.

Seems to be OK, now. Thanks for all the responses.

Glad you got it going!
Now would also be a good time to back up any important files
just in case something goes wrong in the future!

Now, just cause someone sends a forward doesn't mean you have to open it or else stay off thm dirty sites :wink: :wink: . 2 most common way to pick up malware, trojans and viruses are forwards and web sites that have popups.

I have had that virus before. If it pops up again,get your hands off the mouse. Clicking anywhere on the desktop will implant it. Force a crash with your power button and then reboot to safe mode.
