white front rims

help me understand....the white front rims on the farmall 06 series. was this all of the 06's or just the early ones AND my 706 also looks to have white on the rear wheel casting ??? what is correct ? getting ready for paint ,i hope.

White front rims and rear castings are original to the 1206 only. The rest of the 06 series would have been red from the factory.

Replacement front rims were nearly ALL white, but it was more of a primer than it was actual paint.
 
The white wheels were ONLY on the 1206.All others are repaints(like yours).Often the the fronts were replaced with a different size tire.White wheels are 'generic' replacements.Heck,There's even a guy here with yellow fronts on a 966IH!
 
Ryan,Have some fun with your tractor.Paint it in a 1206 paint scheme.I'm concidering that for my 706!
 
Yeah, but he might be a bit color blind from squinting across the prairie, looking for that tree he heard rumors about.
 
I hate to admit this,but I had yellow rims on my red tractor once.I do have red rims on an old JD 55 combine.
