I noticed some posts from that area.We haul freight on that road weekly from Wi to carthage Mo.I think you all had the worst of the drought cattle ponds drying up .Good to see your finale getting rain heading out today to carthage Mo.

Used to call it the 71 Bypass around Kansas City. Recall it was under construction for YEARS back in the fifties and early sixties. Open country back then; now it's all growed up and starting to deteriorate.

I'm 3 miles east of 71 hwy when you go by Camp Clark at Nevada..We had been terribly dry but got 1.2" last weekend and 3" so far since yesterday....I'm thru Carthage quite often..

I'm about 30 miles S/E of Carthage. You are right, it has just been bone dry around here.

Is it because of the time it takes or is there something else to it??? We have trucks skirting it all time but I would think that takes even longer. I'm not that way much but I have never seen a long line.

25 miles SE of Bethany, Mo. Just got 2" last week, and another 3/4" this weekend. The grass has actually GROWN about 6" in parts of my barnyard and pasture!

1 hour straight east of Lamar, MO on US 160 1/2 mile north of 160 land borders it. Dated a woman in Carthage a little over a year ago, 61 miles my drive way to hers.

Camp Clark, Missouri it has changed a lot since the early 60's, but man I hated that place. If the wind was blowing and it was cold those old POW Barracks were very air conditioned.
