Hello;

I posted a message to you on the tool talk board a few weeks ago but you likely missed it.

Question:
In your opinion is the Pramac generators with the Subaru gas engines good generators?

Also; Who makes a good 3-4KW propane generator? Not many gensets this size in propane.
I see that Generac makes one, but you have referred to these as Genajunks. So I dont think I want this brand.

Never heard of Pramac. But I will check them out. If you want a good small propane generator. Find an old Onan CCK,BF,BFA,NH. Old units and heavy but worth it. 1800 RPM simple controls. Just about all of the new generators can be converted. Problem with big box store generators. Little if any support or help if you need it. I have heard good things about Champion generators.

Stay away from Genajunk. Cheap to buy and that is what you get Cheap.

I will look up those Champion Gensets.
I have to see what engines are in them.
A friend of mine bought a brand new Honda 3000Ep or Eu or whatever, inverter type. $ 1,250. He is very happy.
Pramac has a $800 genset, 3Kw, gasoline, Honda engine. Go to electricgeneratorsdirect.com and Northerntool.com And check it out.

What are your opinions on the Briggs and Stratton gensets, portables only.

Can you do all of us a favor on this site and rank (in your experience and opinion) the best to worst of the gensets.

Thanks in advance.

You may want to look at Winco tri fuel generators, Honda or briggs engines available --- factory set up to run on gasoline, propane or natural gas, very competively priced, generatorsdirect.com has them in stock.
