Saw the neatest thing

I was looking for a fuel injection add on kit for a MG midget and came across a generic fuel injection and ignition controller. You can program in what brand and model of each sensor or injector you want to use. I am thinking about it for my Farmall H. I would use parts off a 4 cylinder GM and put the controller in the middle.

Would be interesting to see how that would work out with a dyno test. Fuel consummation reports would be cool too.

Would even be better if the controller tied into the distributer and controlled timing.

The controller can replace the distributor. It will hook up
directly to a 4 output coil. That would allow you to make
any advance curve you want. It also will hook up to a ping
sensor.

Like I said I thing it would be interesting to see fuel and HP with that.

The correct police and anti tech guys are going to tell you everything thats wrong with that idea.

My big question is how well that will hold up on a working tractor.

you think you could tap into the intake manifold at each cylinder and the exhaust with a sensor , kind of like I did to a someones race car ,I don't know what kind of computer he used . I just did the chunker work on the manifolds .

Is it throttle body or multi-port? I would think MP would need a manifold engineered so that the injector and fuel spray are fed just so into the air flow to work well.

The thing to consider with Multi Port Fuel Injection on an H is that you only have two intake ports on the head and each pair of cylinders that share a port fire right next to each other (2-1 then 3-4) so you have air flow into each port for one crankshaft revolution and then no flow for the next revolution. It is quite common for an injector to fire on every revolution on a MPFI engine when they have individual ports but in this case that would result in flooding the first cylinder to fire and starve the second.

I agree, a plenum chamber with all 4 injectors pumping into it (about the size of a Velvita box) might stagger the pulses. Or put two injectors in the intake runner that fire on different timing. Just thinking out loud, Jim

Stan I had supper week ago Wed. at the table next to Jim's at the ProFarmer Crop Tour meeting. First time I had met him.

It can be configured for any number of injectors. I wonder if you could share an injector between 2 cylinders. It does that with throttle body.
