You guys tryin to get outta the doghouse????????? I think it's nice to have the wimmens around too.... I appreciate them so much I looked up a little sumpin to give em some helpful hints...... Cause I's such a nice guy with stupindimonious people skills....... Here ya go girls....[color=red:1eab372d3f]

Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have be thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.

Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.

Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.

Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dustcloth over the tables.

During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.

Be happy to see him.

Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.

Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.

Don't greet him with complaints and problems.

Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.

Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.

Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.

Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

She's German and never attended an American wedding, so asked me tell her the woman's part of the vowels so she could make sure she don't stumble in front of the preacher (we got married in the States)...

I had her sayin "I take_____ to love, honor, and obey".... for a couple weeks.... She was maddern' hell when she found out different

James,I couldnt agree more,in fact I think either one of them would make a great ceo of any large company, they both seem to have great attitudes and managment skills , if either one of them were running for president this fall I would rather vote for them than the choices we will have!

Jimmy,

Thanks. I enjoy taking and sharing photos. I love seeing the photos that others post.

I also enjoy the board - I've learned so much here about tractors that it is even more fun to talk shop with my husband. And I enjoy the OT posts as well... some of you guys are really funny (I have laughed a ton today).

Have a great day! SweetFeet

larry@stinescorners,
Thanks!

Though... big LOL here... voting for either Nancy or I rather than the choices that will be available this fall, is maybe not a huge vote of confindence in us - since the competition is pitiful all the way around.

PaulShuler,

OK, that made me laugh until I nearly fell off my chair! And I don't get paid medical leave from work!

oldtanker,
Also enjoy gaining perspective from all your points of view. And like I said, you guys are just FUNNY much of the time. I share with my husband about YT... he is just not a computer kind of guy, or he would be on here I am sure.

Gets kind of sickening wading through knee deep testosterone doesn't it? Gets old after while. Maybe that's why more gals don't post on here.

LOL, I'm just a grouchy Conservative older guy......when you understand that everything else falls into place SweetFeet.....now back in the kitchen!!!!

Jimmy,
Well said. I agree with you 100%. Too bad my wife thinks farm stuff is boring. I know I would never find her on this website. To each their own I guess.

Used to be several ladies who posted on YT; I remember Case Lady and there was a young (college age) lady (whose handle I"ve forgotten) who was a regular; even Miss Kim used to occasionally drop by.

My wife is of German descendant too... four generations removed and placed into this environment, She doesn't speak a word of German , but it don't take much to got her blood boilin, and when mad I can't understand a word she says like a speaker turned up with too much volume, but the windows vibrate in the garage 30' away from the house.
Don't get me wrong I still wear the pants in the family (Helps to keep my knees from getting dirty when I scrub the floor )
I always get the final word as long as it is (Yes dear)
Last year about the first of December I tried to explain how a woman should act ..similar to your list...With all her 5'2" frame she did in an old man of 6'

I would like to nominate Nancy as queen of tractor talk, and Sweetfeet as the princess of tractor talk ,,,, (Dave 2 would have to step down from the thrown)

That's the name I couldn't remember; getting old is the..............(well, actually, I highly recommend it).

Hopefully more wives and ladies will contribute to the YT forums.

Nancy reads posts on several of the YT forums.

She frequently asks me "Did you read the post on YT about. . .".

Sometimes she tells me "You need to reply to a post on the John Deere forum about. . .".

Just one more thing we share in common in addition to. . .

Roy it looks like the tables of this proverbial quip, got turned.

"What do you tell a woman with two black eyes?"

Nothing, you haven't already told her twice!

That is pretty special. My wife sometines suggests something to reply but she would NEVER get on here - she's fairly shy. can't get her on the tractor either but she does enjoy her riding mower.

Glad you enjoyed the video.

Take a look at this reply.
