It looks like the hurricane (tropical storm) will be a direct hit on Missouri. |

 That's a good one.....east coast..... . I guess that puts me on the west coast. I'm 15 miles north of Joplin, and 6 miles east of the Kansas state line. We got 2" late last week, but I'd welcome just about any amount. Mark.

I called my cousin, down in Baton Rouge, last night, to talk to her, before the storm blew her into the next parish. She said that they had already had 16" of rain, and didn't need any more, from the storm. Go Figure! I guess the rain doesn't like to cross state lines!

The storm really wasn"t to bad here. I believe it will be a good thing for the drought stricken areas in the Missippi valley. And maybe some barge traffic can get going with higher water levels.

Ya they are saying we will get around 3 or so inches of rain Friday and or Saturday. We sure need it and hope that it is enough and long enough to help the pastures so maybe I will be able to get at least a little more hay baled. Have people asking for hay just about 2 or 3 times a week and I have noon that I feel I can let go of

BTW, its gong to take quite a bit of rain to fill the cracks before the pastures start to green up, *G*

Guess I drove by you on Monday then. I had a V.A. appointment on Monday. Sure hate to drive up there and sit for 1-2 hours to see a doctor then drive back. 2 hours or so up 2 back and 2 at the V.A. hospital sure kills a day. Plus I will be back up there next month and the month after
