Just got the rad for the Allis Chalmers 185 recored. Only $655. Not really complaining. The guy did it in 3 days and did a really nice job and AGCO was $1580 for a new one. Still alot of money though. Curious what others are paying for recoring.

Sounds about right for here in NC. I've had a few done in the past year and they have gone anywhere from $600 to over $1200 depending on size, type of core, bolted vs soldered tanks, etc, etc.

A friend just had a David Brown tractor done. He said about $700, including new hoses, antifreeze, and t-stat. He did the labor himself.

About $650 for IH 504, so your price was right in there. Getting to be hard to find anyone to do it anymore- Only guy left here didn't have enough business to continue full time, so took up hulk hauling and scrapping- but runs it out of his radiator shop, and still does any radiator work that comes in.

Recored a Gleaner F2 (4 cyl diesel) over ten years ago. Was about $400, worked fine ever since. Well worth the relief.

Had my Fergy 20 done in July 1976 for $40.00.
Adjusted for inflation that would be $161.06 now.
Re-cored radiator is still working fine.
