this is the massey 230 my friend bought ,he took the picture with his phone, It hasnt been cleaned up or anything,this is the way it sat in the mans building , It has one thousand fifty hrs on it it is gas,3 spd hi lo,and power steering no adjusting wheels one rim is rusting ,thats all we could find wrong with it,He bought it for 3.500

Larry: that is a good looking tractor for $3500. I don't think they came with power adjust wheels. You had to unbolt them and flip the tire or centers depending what spacing you want. The sheet metal and tires look good. So he got a good deal. He will get a lot of use out of it.
 
If I could find one for that,I'd have the loader off my 1020 Deere on it so fast I'd leave skid marks!
 
I think that the asking price and what they will bring are 2 different things. I have seen some machines sit around here for years at high prices that just didn't sll. There isn't as much easy money around these days.

Does your 1020 run like crap, like sometimes runs like it is down a cyl.? My uncles on the farm has run like this for 30 years now. A few times they have taken it in for a carb rebuild, fuel shut off solenoid, new distributor, but it always ends up running like crap after a short while. Next it is getting a new carb, but not high priority as they don't use the 1020 as much anymore.....
