Looked in our Markle Farmall Bible... could not find the answer. Thanks if you can help us out. Please excuse me if my terminology is not correct.
On a Farmall F20, what do the numbers mean on the front pedestal casting (the part that the steering shaft runs through down to the axel)?
For example .1.13.F. versus .3.13.F
Do these numbers indicate what style of cover should be over the steering gears? You know, the kind of cover that is smooth all the way around - versus the the type where the bolts for the cover run up through a bumpedout "turret" (for lack of a better word) and have a nut on the top end of the cover.
Or is style of the cover for the steering gear deteremined strictly by the serial number of the tractor?
