I have a 8n that I just bought and it has a lever under the seat on the right side. I thought maybe it was for high low drive but it doesn"t seem to do anything when I put it up or down, Can anyone tell me what it is for. Thanks

Its the draft/position control for th 3 pt lift.
With the lever pointing up its in position control which is for just about everything but plowing, with it horizontal its in draft mainly for plowing HTH

Draft or position control for the 3 point. Lever down is for plowing or discing, lever up for most everything else.

you already got the answer for lever under seat...IF theres a lever on side of tractor in front of clutch pedal,it has a aux transmission.

I thought that was the the ejector seat lever.
Maybe his isn't working properly.
